Mastercard Agent Pay is the Mastercard network's answer to autonomous agent commerce. Agentic Tokens are dynamic, single-purpose digital credentials — issued by the network rather than by an individual provider — that a consumer grants to a specific agent for a specific purpose.
Because they live at the network layer, Agentic Tokens work anywhere Mastercard does.

Network-issued
Not provider-specific. The token authorizes the agent, but settlement runs over standard Mastercard rails.
Pairs with Stripe SPTs
Stripe is rolling SPT support out to Mastercard Agent Pay, so a single SPT can trigger an Agentic Token transaction underneath.
vs. CardForAgent
You don't use Mastercard Agent Pay directly as a developer — you benefit from it because it makes networks more agent-aware. CardForAgent issues VISA cards today; we'll surface Agent Pay support as it becomes available through Stripe Issuing.
